in our contract! Year Two Wage Increases:On the pay
period closest to May 1, 2003, all employees will receive an additional
four (4%) across he board. More significantly, CHW will also implement
a new wage scale based on the wage scale that currently exists at
Kaiser minus a certain percent depending on the facility. |

Ed happily
explained part of his program. I later asked Ed why he worked for
local 250.
"I work for local 250 because I believe in justice for working
people. Local 250 is a union that fights for positive social change,
and functions in a truly democratic fashion.
I am proud to be working for the members of the largest healthcare
worker's union in California." |
