  An older group of activists occupied the opposite side of the street. There were about 100 protestors at this intersection.

'I'm mad as hell!', Heidi said, 'the republicans are taking advantage of this distraction to pass 'fast track.'
There should be a full debate on this because it trashes the constitution.'

I then walked over to the 17th and J st site of the flag waving President Bush supporters.

 

 
  Located on the margin of about 50 boisterous, flag waving, shouting for our team Bush supporters was a woman holding her 'kids don't like bombs' sign.
